I came across a wonderful Australian baby website on Sydney Morning Herald, where mothers share their experiences on various topics.
Today’s post made me dive into my memories, namely to 21 November 2007, to the day when Maya was born.
Everyone thinks that breastfeeding comes naturally, but does it really? Read the rest of this entry »

It’s crazy how fast things go. It seems like just a month ago that she was seven months old.
Seriously, though, alot has happened this month. Maya went on her first vacation with the family and friends to Semi.

We all had a really good time – she even tried swimming for the first time as well! We have to get her out more to go swimming…it seems like she really enjoyed it.

She also made a new friend while we were there…

Even though Maya was cranky at the time, she started saying her first “word” yesterday! She seems to be testing out her voice, and it’s really sweet when she does it. We’ll try to get a better video later, but here’s the first one!

So, we finally got to go on our first vacation after the baby was born. We took Friday off and decided to go away for the whole weekend.
Among hundreds of baby-friendly destinations in Austria, Lutzmannsburg was one of the most recommended. Read the rest of this entry »

In the last few weeks, Maya has developed quite a bit. First, she has become very demanding! If she wants something, she will definitely let you know about it. She whines, points, reaches, squirms, and cries. But of course, that’s just fine with us, cause we just love her so much. She’s getting much closer to turning from her back to her belly, especially if we put some interesting object (like my glasses) nearby for her to stretch over to. My guess is that she’ll turn for the first time in a couple of days. We’re a little disappointed that she hasn’t done it yet, but I blame the harness that she had to wear for the first three or four months. She’ll get there eventually, I’m sure.

Last weekend we have introduced another big change into Maya’s life.
Her Bugaboo stroller has a completely new look now.
The comfy seat has three different tilt positions: sitting, reclining or lying.
You can make it facing either you, or away from you, so that the baby gets to enjoy the view.
I can not be happier about this purchase we made. It is so much worth the money you pay for it.
Here is what the old version looked like.

Now our Maya can admire the world from a totally different perspective and on top of that other people can also admire her. hehe..
She is such a cute little munchkin!!!
